International Poetry Festival

(Union City, NJ) The City of Union City, Mayor Brian P. Stack & Board of Commissioners in commemoration of Women's History Month present the international poetry festival  "A Woman's Scream", to be held at the William V. Musto Cultural Center located at 420 - 15th Street in Union City, NJ on Friday, March 29, 2013 at 7:00 PM. 

Performing poetry that evening will be Lourdes Batista, Elizabeth Balaguer, Rafael Palacios, Jane Pedler, SaraEve Daly , Susy Gonzalez, Elsa Batista, Judith Guerra, Armando G. Muñoz, Ben Figueroa, Berkis Contreras, and Jael Uribe.

Refreshments will be served & admission is free.

Poetry Celebration

The City of Union City will be hosting a Poet Laureate Introduction Ceremony on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the William V. Musto Cultural Center, 420 - 15th Street in Union City.  

The event will introduce the City's new Poet Laurate to the world.  It will feature live poetry performances by a varied group of poets and performing artists, including the Poet Laurate himself, Bem "Broken English" Figueroa; music; and refreshments.  Admission is free and everyone is invited. www.UnionCityMuseum.org
