The film THANKSGIVING is an illustration of a mayor's ability to bring a community together through giving back. It is a true expression of Thanksgiving shown through the eyes of a large urban community with small town heart.

Mayor & State Senator Brian P. Stack began the annual tradition at the age of fourteen from his family’s modest apartment.  In the beginning, and with help from his parents, he would give out chickens to his neighbors.  In present day, the Brian P. Stack Civic Association annually distributes thousands of free turkeys to city residents in what may be the largest turkey giveaway in the nation.

FREE Concert, Rally & Street Festival

(Union City, NJ)  New Jersey State Senator & Mayor Brian P. Stack & Union City Board of Commissioners invite the community to a free Concert, Rally & Street Festival on Thursday, May 23, 2019 starting at 6:00 PM on 32nd Street from Kennedy Boulevard to Bergenline Avenue in Union City, NJ.  Governor Phil Murphy as well as many political dignitaries will be present.

The mega concert will feature live music by Dominican superstar Toño Rosario; master of the Bachata Joe Veras; award-winning radio DJ, musical tastemaker, and recording artist Alex Sensation; the best fusion band coming out of Cuba Maxima Alerta; and a New Jersey favorite The Alan Quinn Orchestra.

There will be many activities for children & refreshments.  Free admission.  Everyone in the community is invited to attend.
