Cabaret at the Museum



The Union City Museum of Art presents "Cabaret at the Museum", a new monthly cabaret series to be held at the William V. Musto Cultural Center located at 420 - 15th Street in Union City, NJ.  

The monthly cabaret/variety show is produced and hosted by Lucio Fernandez, and will feature a talented array of performing artists. 

Music, comedy, poetry... find it all at Cabaret at the Museum.  

The opening night concert will take place on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 8:00 PM and will feature performances by soprano Michele Sexton, tenor John Jay Hebert, and Craig Ketter on piano, with special guest, classical pianist Jahye Kim.  

Refreshments will be served & admission is free.

"Live On Stage" is growing!!!


"Live On Stage"… the TV show artists are talking about!!! This month the show features an interview and performance by John Jay Hebert of Union City Opera.






Our TV show is growing!!!  Beginning in March the show will also be on Queens Public Television (QPTV) serving the residents of the borough of Queens, New York. QPTV airs on (Channels 34, 35, 56, 57 on Time Warner Cable, 82, 83, 84, 85 on RCN and 34, 35, 36, 37 on Verizon FIOS) on the cable TV systems for Queens.

Voices of Angels


"Voices of Angels"
a concert in loving memory of the victims of Newtown, CT

(Union City, NJ) The Union City Performing Arts Center in conjunction with the Union City Philharmonic Orchestra will be presenting "Voices of Angels" a concert in loving memory of the victims of Newtown, CT on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 7:00 PM at the Union City Performing Arts Center, 2500 Kennedy Boulevard, Union City, NJ.  Admission is free and everyone from the community is invited to attend.

The concert will feature performances by the Union City Philharmonic Orchestra, Jahye Kim & Yedeun Park, directors; the Union City Opera Company, John Jay Hebert, director; members of the TapOlé Dance Company, Megan Fernandez, director; the Poet Laureate of Union City, Mr. Ben "BrokenEnglish" Figueroa; and other special guests. There will also be an art exhibit by the Union City Artist Collective, Amado Mora, curator. Lucio Fernandez will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

Artists of all disciplines have banded together in support of the Newtown community and to remember the little angels and their teachers who so tragically lost their lives on that unforgettable day.  State Senator & Mayor Brian P. Stack and Board of Commissioners will be in attendance, and will address the audience.  Everyone in attendance will have the opportunity to send a message of encouragement and well wishes, as well as sign a card that will be sent to the town of Newtown.

The City of Union City, Mayor Brian P. Stack & Board of Commissioners with UNION CITY OPERA  present DECK THE HALLS! a Christmas Concert on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 7:00 PM at the Union City Performing Arts Center, 2500 Kennedy Boulevard, Union City, NJ.

The show features vocalists Jacqueline Thompson, Guadalupe Peraza, Jennifer Giudice, John Jay Hebert, Frank Basile, Lawrence Craig... plus special guests.  Admission is free and everyone in the community is invited to attend.

The Union City Opera is proud to announce their inaugural public performance with a presentation of "VIVA ITALIA, A Celebration of Italian Opera" on Saturday, May 26th at 7:30 PM at The Arts at St. John's Church located at 1516 Palisade Avenue in Union City.
